(1/2) This was a test sequence Sony gave to Reel FX in 2007 to try and match the look of the first Open Season, test sequence based on half of the Forest 102 deleted scene included on the home media releases of Open Season (2006).

Also incase you didn’t get notified, there is this one unused shot I was able to find years ago from a demo reel. Was curious if you knew the context of it or not.

p.s there's this one unused shot I found from a demo reel (which disappeared some time after I had found it) I honestly have no idea what the purpose of it is tbh, but it's the only unused shot I've been able to find from any animators that worked on the movie. Maybe you'd know what this was for?

Well they did greenlit Open Season: Call of Nature whose time got cut short with it only getting 1 season, honestly depends on if they actually do release one or not. Given that last year they revealed some concept art that had never been seen before (even in the art of book from 2006) they might.

Also forgot to ask this before, but do you reckon Sony would actually do 20th anniversary release of OS1 with new never before seen bonus features and etc? I highly doubt they would tbh, but it'd be great to see given the cut content for this movie that has never seen the light of day.

Good luck on what you’re able to find, I can try to find the images of early Open Season 2/3 stuff you shared back then, I might have them on my old PC, either that or I’ll have to check web archive to see if the post was actually saved. If you’re able to find any OS1 content that’d be awesome. 👍

Also good luck on finding any old Open Season 1 material that you have since the cut content of that movie is something I’ve been pretty interested in for quite some time, though the fact that not more cut sequences were officially released is pretty odd and annoying.

Just saw your response only recently, hoping you have because you did post early Open Season 2/3 stuff back in 2020. Not sure if any of it was archived on the wayback machine, I know plenty of your old posts have been. Though I don’t know when during 2020 you had posted them.

@maddieboom418.bsky.social Hi Maddie Taylor, I remember when you showed off some early Open Season material related to what would eventually be the 3rd movie elsewhere, is there anything else for did for the 1st and 2nd movie that had never seen the light of day? I know the 1st movie has cut content
