My rural NS library has an ebike. I encourage people to try It and I go along for info and support. The last one went to the bike store and purchased a Gazelle the next day.

My mistake. Thought it was a Cascade label. You are right about washability.

Yeah. Cascade used to be truly inexpensive. Now it’s just the least of an expensive lot. Great choice for a blanket though. The Malabrigo will pill badly.

I’ll send you a recipe for Mexican bolillos. Best rolls I have ever made. Super easy

Well done. I was shocked by the staff reaction and this needed to be said.

Please use your research, data analysis/presentation, and video skills to produce a detailed analysis of the costs to date, including sources of funding, with comparisons to non-bike related infrastructure projects. I am hearing a lot of “but bike lanes are expensive” chatter. It might help that.

I just heard the mayor say “then the internet got involved”. Congratulations to you and @kwilsonhfx.bsky.social and many others for speaking up and out. Also the mayor somehow confounded the objections to “people don’t care about congestion”. What a fool.

In contrast, yesterday the mayor of Berwick actively participated in a session to discuss AT plans. He proposed solutions that made sense and would improve the overall plan. There will be tough discussions ahead but I think he is on the right side of the issue. Happy to have left HRM.

I always include mobility devices in my list of users when I discussed car-alternate pathways and storage issues. In my small town in Nova Scotia the accessibility committee has recently taken up the cause of multi-use paths (and parking/storage in new apartment developments).

Exactly. We show our phones (not really filming) when, as pedestrians, we want to use a crosswalk. Cars that were clearly planning to blow through the crosswalk screech to a halt when they see the phone. So they were paying attention the whole time. Maddening.
