You can disagree if you fact check the reply rather than just accepting this kind of ridiculous interpretation of what Starmer has done. If labour lose it will be because of lack of challenge to these crazy narratives by people who should be challenging them to avoid a right wing steal

Yes, I have been a migrant and also been in a situation where country rules meant I had to leave despite many years of residence and contribution and this resulted in significant family upheaval so I do feel sympathy for others but it is reasonable that countries can set their own rules.
December 8, 2025 at 2:12 PM
I think having an economic threshhold for migrants is reasonable and that a government can and should adjust according to country needs and circumstances. It is a choice for those migrating here whether they want to participate in the various schemes. It is a balance.

If you are arguing anything less than completely open borders is grim messaging then you need to explain how a society can support completely open borders financially and socially. Saying migrants potential contn should be assessed is not grim but realistic. Refugee assmnt different basis of course
December 7, 2025 at 3:03 PM
Migrants are different to refugees. Migrants have always been assessed differently. Trying to blur the two is just cheap politics
