Miscellaneous issues: The quality of the rest of the series varies from issue to issue. Issue #16 was one of the few AvX tie-ins that wasn't a chore to read, I enjoyed #29 for the whole time capsule aspect, and since I never liked kid gladiator, I didn't like the annual. AT. ALL. YMMV/10

Shield arc: On par with the intro arc. It's the final storyline we get before the series closes out with final issues and it was okay. 7/10

Hellfire academy: Honestly, the most iconic storyline of them all. I loved that Idie went undercover to find out who shot Broo. Great character development all around. Idie definitely should've gotten a better black queen outfit.  9.5/10

Savage learning: The definition of good idea, bad execution. I really couldn't give two shits about Logan's brother. I just wanted his ass gone. Bye, dog 5.5/10

Murder circus: I enjoyed the focus on Idie and her declining mental health. We also get Max's backstory and development, which is good too. Wish we got something out of that unexpected team up, though. 8/10

Brood Infestation: The good characterization for Broo is kinda overshadowed by the strange Kitty pregnancy. Kid gladiator is also there for some reason and it adds nothing to the story. 5/10

Intro: Does a good job at introducing many things. The protagonists, antagonists, the light-hearted zany atmosphere of the series. It's fine. 7/10

Susan/Boyd: 6/10

Susan getting a love interest wasn't too bad and Boyd secretly working for Coldwater was interesting, but Susan's quickness to forgive him for sneaking behind her back was a bit mindboggling that even the characters in-universe was confused over this. (1/2)

Jo/Carlos: 8.5/10

Romance isn't this show's greatest strength, but if I had to pick the best pairing, I'd go with Jo and Carlos for having the best writing and consistency within the couples (process out of elimination). (1/)

Patty/Brent: 7/10
A good chunk of season 2 was dedicated to these to getting together, which is nice. Plus, Brent's inclusion to showcase the Paralympics and disabled athletes in the series was a good idea. (1/2)

Beth/Mark: 5.5/10

Just like Vicky/Phil, they sorta fade into the background. But they get a few cute moments together compared to the former coupling. I get the sense they're each other's best friend as well as boyfriend and girlfriend.

Vicky/Phil: 5/10

They're sorta similar to Tecna and Timmy from winx club where they have one nice moment together before fading into the background.

Ann Mary/Julio: 4/10

I was getting fed up with the pointless bickering that took up a good chunk of the screentime in the first half of season 2. Even their reconciliation scenes felt so unsatisfying. It's pitiful the writing for this couple hits its stride when they broke up.

I just "finished" Spike Team so here's a 🧵thread dedicated to ranking the couples (spoiler: most of them are pretty mediocre) #spiketeam
