True but we could’ve nicked it at the end and pissed them off so much. There is no other club I hate more than Chelsea

Yup, Norgaard and Hincapie should’ve come on immediately after the second goal

He’s had the most impact for Arsenal while playing as a striker. His finishing ability has been such a nice surprise ! Hope he can get us through one more game with a win before we start getting back our injured forwards

Regardless, it’s amazing that we lost only 9 games more across 13 full seasons and for much of that period we were a joke..

It’s actually 9 games more. Spuds lost 39 since 19/20 season and we lost 48 since 06/07 season

That’s a great shout. Given that we are unlikely to get a huge fee for him with this injury history, having him as a rotation option is much more valuable to us.

Been a huge fan of the Arsenal’s men’s team for 19 yrs now. Over the last 2 years I started following the women’s team largely due to your work

I think you are the one of the three best Arsenal content creators alongside Andrew and James. Thank you for everything you do !

He hasn’t finished even one half of football at home this season in the league 😞

Just hope that injuries don’t wreck our season. I feel for Odegaard who is getting injured every home game he starts

They are all shit. But today’s ref has something against us. Isn’t he a spurs or Liverpool fan ?

It would be foolish to expect officials NOT to help them. Well, I’m glad it didn’t affect the result in the end, thanks to Eddie

I didn’t watch this game. What resulted out of this. Was it the Liverpool goal ?

Same here. Started watching without commentary these days

Would be interesting to see if Arteta rotates as much this early in the season but it’s nice to see we have options.

Chelsea fans trying to lord their two CLs over us has always been real 'Lance Armstrong boasting about his Tour de France wins' energy

Arsenal do need to sell well in a traditional sense (develop players and sell when the time is right) but a considerable part of “selling well” is to find financial loopholes/quid pro quo deals that help you balance books. It is sad that this is an important part of football these days.

How do Chelsea double their money on Veiga (3rd most expensive in Villarreal’s history) in one year. He was on Chelsea’s bench for half a season and other half at Juve. Honest question: was he a revelation at Juve or is this a shady deal? Coz Villareal don’t usually sign such players at that price

Isn’t it strange that Quansah is Leverkusen’s
most expensive signing ever. Given there are tons of cheaper defenders, my theory is, Liverpool overpaid for Wirtz for lev to do the same for Quansah. Helps Liverpool book pure (inflated) profit on an academy grad in the year they splurge £450 M

So both viewpoints have merit. Arteta can be more positive and we lost an attritional game to a one in thousand free kick.

Having said that, I’d like to see us go into a game at Anfield with a close to fully fit squad

Don’t forget, this is the first big six game we lost in 23 matches
August 31, 2025 at 5:43 PM
The reality is these big games are always going to be tight. Liverpool playing at home were more cautious than they normally are even in away games

Standard of refereeeing in the “best league” is abysmal. At least the commentators on the US broadcast seemed to know that the decision was a joke

Read somewhere that an obligation counts the transfer in this financial year and the option gives us flexibility to push it to next financial year.

I am guessing there are conditions that trigger an obligation and those must be pretty easily achievable

Probably makes sense given Norgaard’s age. Norgaard is probably just here as senior back up while MLS develops at # 6

I know he rubs non-Arsenal fans the wrong way but one thing he’s always done is give credit to better teams/teams that win titles. He points to injuries and ludicrous refereeing decisions (rightly so) but that doesn’t mean he isn’t giving credit to city or Liverpool that are consistent over a season
