A full house in City Hall in Athens GA. Public input makes a difference. About 50 people speaking in support of an LGTBQ resolution (passed 6-2) and the permanent road safety and road diet on Prince Avenue (passed unanimously), many speaking for both. One person spoke against the LGBTQ resolution.

In biking, walking, transit filled Montreal. Wondering why alternative transportation is embraced in some places as the norm and has such a hard time taking hold in other places like where I’m from in Athens, GA, where we are feeling push back. What is it culturally that makes the difference?
