We had a town-wide adrenaline rush when the local Post Office shut down unexpectedly for "operational reasons". Even made BBC local news. Fears were allayed when it reopened yesterday :-) hash tag headlines in local newspapers

I'm thinking of a sliding scale in proportion to the statistical availability of remaining birthdates
- retirement age to 74 - celebrate birthweek
- 75 upwards celebrate birthmonth
Extending Christmas to Candlemas ( 2nd Feb) pretty much takes care of non-stop celebrations for January
