We held a hearing on the Department of Citywide Administrative Services’ decarbonization efforts. The City of New York is behind on meeting our ambitious carbon reduction goals for municipal government and we must do better.

Our office released a new study highlighting rampant illegal parking across Downtown Brooklyn. Vehicles block sidewalks, crosswalks, bike lanes & loading zones - making it more dangerous for New Yorkers to get around the neighborhood.

This weekend we canvassed small businesses in Williamsburg and Greenpoint to educate employers about what to do if ICE shows up. We will be hosting more outreach events to share actionable information about how to keep our community safe.

🌳🌱In partnership with @NYCParks, we planted Brooklyn’s first mini forest in Williamsburg! 

This once-rundown space at N. 4th St & N. 4th Pl is now a thriving pocket forest that will boost biodiversity, improve air quality, prevent flooding & beautify the neighborhood.
