credit than the 7% we currently have (we've never used the line of credit, by the way...have never remotely needed it), because if this keeps going, we could need it and shouldn't have to pay 7% on loans for money we should have.

We will be fine regardless. Many federal employees will not be okay.

Morale does suck, for many reasons. Including that we have good salaries, but this seems like it could go on so long that I called my mortgage company about mortgage forbearance in case we need it. And will be checking with our bank to see if we can get a better rate on our home equity line of

Hell yes. Packing up a house is hard under the best of circumstances, which these are not. And it doesn't matter that you're moving where you want to be. I cried my eyes out doing the final walkthrough of our last house after the cleaners finished cleaning it. And I was happily moving home!
