Reading in @sfstandard.com that SF's Vallaincourt Fountain will be taken down. A bummer that SF let this weird piece of landscape design wither. I love that it looked like a collapsed freeway. (A freeway used to run next to it).

On an unrelated note, whenever I'm in Santiago, love to admire the old Hotel Crillón, where the novelist María Carolina Geel shot and killed her husband in 1955 while having tea.
