I’m your favorite nurse educator’s favorite nurse educator.
Another recommended “everything old is new again” watch the 11-year-old has enjoyed is “The Manchurian Candidate” (Angela Lansbury edition, obvs)

The best peer review feedback I ever received was on a lit review. They wrote that something I was trying to do to make the staid and formulaic way of writing these things more interesting was “Troubling and surprisingly off the rails” and it was the best academic compliment I have ever received. 🤓

I’m not against “AI in higher education” wholesale (but if we’re also going to include climate change in our curriculum we should address the heavy use of resources) and in fact appreciated Justin’s team and others who addressed its use to enhance learning (and not just the “but cheating” angle) 4/?

try to implement the (coming soon) newest version of the Code of Ethics is making my head swim. Anyone else who was there— was it just me? Or were the vibes weird? And, more importantly: Are we moving our work as educators forward in a way that truly centers students and recipients of care? 3/?

And of course @theseatednurse.bsky.social ‘s epic plenary speech! But trying to reconcile the heavy emphasis on AI and the Essentials with some of my colleagues’ genuine fear for their jobs if they (for example) talk about antiracism, put up a “Safe Zone” sticker on their office door or 2/?
