Dr. Jane made an indelible mark on our understanding of chimpanzees and other species, and also of humankind and the environments we all share.
She inspired curiosity, hope, and compassion in countless people, and paved the way for many others.

Never forget 9/11 and all the lives lost. For those of us from New York City, many sadly knew someone who was at ground zero. We will never be able to express our gratitude to the first responders who ran towards the towers rather than away. In tragedy, we stood together as a nation.

My thoughts go out to Jim Lovell’s family. I had the privilege of working with him when I was at the Naval Academy Foundation, and he was so humble and likable. It was incredible to hear directly from him about the Apollo 13 experience, which, without his leadership, would have been a tragedy.

Three years ago, we lost my uncle and godfather due to a tragic accident. When my dad died, he included me in all of his family's activities. I miss him and send all my thoughts to my cousins who lost a great dad.
