Maybe start a conversation asking how she thinks things are going with you. Since its a new job, ask her if she sees any concerns about your work. If she says yes, you can address them. If no, you could say that you were wondering because she seems to be monitoring your work very closely.

Senator McCormick doesn't respond. Senator Fetterman sends form letters that are basically a generic thank you for contacting my office. If he responds, Representative Smucker sends with a form letter that doesn't really address anything that I asked about or said to his office.

Are you Ruthenian? My father's paternal side of the family is Ruthenian. While I've been exposed to some of their traditions and recipes, I don't know as much as I would like. My grandfather died of black lung around the time of my birth.

My plumber was out yesterday because my hot water heater started leaking from the valve - pressure coming into the house was over 80 and he said 70 is the max. So I also just had the regulator replaced, added an extension tank and a new valve. Not looking forward to the invoice!

And if you are not vaccinated as a child, and get one of these illnesses as an adult, it can be much more severe. My daughter got the chicken pox at age 2. We didn't realize my husband never had it. He was very ill, 104 for days with pox in his mouth & throat and all over his body.

I think a lot of us needed to do different kinds of self-care in the last week. I'm trying to find moments of joy where I can and also trying to identify how best to use my energy in opposition to what's coming.
