That's old information. Multifamily has it's plusses, but I think everyone takes baths and flushes the toilet about the same. And in the US, apt complexes use alot of water on swimming pools and landscape areas.
But, I'm also in a hot state in a drought. And our home water use is monitored.

Sooner or later they'll wake up. Then it will be a panic to find new water sources and ask the residents to pay for everything.

But, I'm not sure water use is one of them. For instance, I and a growing number of people have rainwater harvesting systems and solar systems. Not something you see with multifamily but they could be used.

I live in a severe drought area w/ high population growth. Conservation groups have been talking about the current & future water shortages for yrs. Until recently, local gov. just saw $$$. Thankfully the big cookie cutter subdivisions now have a 2 yr moratorium because we need water.
