The Downtown Vernon Association kicks off the holiday season with FROSTIVAL. On Nov. 27 from 4 to 8 p.m., look for the CMHA booth in the 3200 block of 30th Avenue where we will have festive activities. Over at 3304 30th Ave, the Youth Integrated Services Hub will be a place to get warm.

Thank you to the Vernon Philanthropic Educational Organization for providing holiday gift bags to our participants. The PEO's fundraising efforts go towards the community as well as helping women further their education with low-interest loans, grants and scholarships.

Bounce Back is a free program to help adults manage low mood, mild to moderate depression, anxiety, stress or worry. Delivered online or over the phone with a coach, you will get tools that will support you on your path to mental wellness.

Transgender Day of Remembrance, Nov. 20, honours the transgender people whose lives were lost in acts of anti-transgender violence. Vernon Pride hosts a Candlelight Vigil tonight at 6 pm at the Courthouse, with reception to follow.
