When the net was new, I invented a thing called Slashdot that was pretty popular with the nerds for awhile but then they changed what cool is and it is now mostly forgotten. Today I play with tech, watch movies and try not to stare directly into the abyss.
My smart home is so smart that when the sun sets it closes the curtains… which triggers a motion sensor which turns on all the lights in the un-occupied room.

35 Oscar nominated films on my list this year. I have 10 left to watch but The documentary category has been pretty soul crushing so far. I’m gonna need to watch Anchorman or the Naked Gun or something just to keep the shotgun out of my face.

I just deleted another app for a place we have ordered many many meals over the last year because i was sick of getting bombarded with ads. I allowed notifications to be told when my order was ready. now i will never order from them again.

I’ve been really enjoying these live stage readings of the Star Wars prequels, and I really wish I had a reason to go to LA and watch when they do ANH. Haley Joel Osment as Anakin, Paul F Tompkins as Palps, Xanthe Tan as John Williams. Joyful fun.

Penguin is really good, enjoying it more than the Batman film that birthed it. Silo season 2 is also holding up. I refuse to start Christmas media until Friday.
