SaGa Frontier to an extent is along those same lines but it’s still a much more unified experience, it’s more placing these very diverse leads into the same sort of setting and seeing how those stories clash, whereas LaL is far more separate (and heightens the clash when it does do it really)

I’m thinking of it as the sitcom edit, where after spending the entire scene half a second from throwing her on the bed, instead it lingers on one character going off to the bedroom and the other trying and failing not to follow
