Oh it’s not appropriate for your program to air the president wearing a crown and shitting on American citizens?

You’ll talk about it in euphemisms? Maybe call it the “crown video” and ignore the shitting part? Because that’s appropriate?

Tell me, was it appropriate for the president to do it?

Trump’s AI video targeting the No Kings protest is a sad reflection of how far he’s slipped from reality. Hillary’s comment about it made us laugh. 😂

do you ever ask yourself what would constitute “a bridge too far” for congressional republicans? because there is seemingly nothing they will not get behind.

I really need for the @microsoft.com team to fix Ctrl-Tab so it switches through every open Excel workbook instead of just the last two you touched.

Anyone want to help test a tiny app I built? It lets you bulk watermark pics on your Android phone.

All this work in Notepad.exe and they still have nonsense like this. The Ctrl-F find box covers your first row of text and you can't move it.

Just a giant middle finger to usability.

Wow did Texas PD really just blow phones hundreds of miles away AGAIN because someone shot at cop 300 miles away? This is not what "EXTREME EMERGENCY ALERTS" are for. I'm sorry for the LEO involved but it would take me 4 hours to drive to where the emergency is. This makes people turn off alerts.

I love keyboard shortcuts, but Microsoft is all over the place. Depending on what you're looking at, search is either Command-F, Ctrl-F, Ctrl-E (store, teams), or Alt-Q (Office, Outlook). And I'm probably missing some.

The only kind of progress bar worse than one hanging at 99%, is one that makes you keep waiting f*cking forever on 100%.

If you're actually 100% done, I shouldn't be waiting. Hell I shouldn't even see the percentage anymore.

Dell built an update wrapper that offers to reboot afterwards. But that same program doesn't respond to the system shutdown message and causes a hang if you press that very button it provides.

So if you use Microsoft Phone Link (generally really awesome for things like notifications, SMS, photos), it also FORCES you to sync your PC clipboard to Android. No option to disable. Everything you copy on your PC shows a toast in your phone.

Why the hell?

Even all the politic antics aside, we shouldn't build broadband that requires biweekly rocket launches periodic to keep going. Fiber is the way. It also has better latency.

Notepad.exe is for plain text!

Although I guess markdown is plain text, so interpreting that isn't the worst thing in the world.

Ooo I new coat of lipstick. Many Office, er... um, Copilot 365 apps now show branded dialog boxes. Excel keeps the legacy title bar though, I wonder if that's for backcompat.

Hey, if you read a lot of longform web content like newspaper deep dives or in my case Ars Technica... Do you do it on your phone or a tablet? I feel like reading all my RSS feeds would be better on something larger than a pixel phone.
