Great ideas save for the ship based scanner which I think I’d use a lot and no longer walk around much. Instead the SRV might have a better way of identifying the location of samples, the sampler might handle multiple species at once and, while we are at it, 2 samples should surely suffice!

Elite Dangereuse adventures! They take you to fascinating locations, teach you lore, gameplay skills and much much more. Collecting, trading and creating their cards is seriously addictive... sorry I mean useful! Their Project Icarus is also useful to show the ship interior sceptics the potential...

It used to be fun. Now the only people who play it are far too good at it. Getting more players should be the main aim and this might be achieved by connecting it to the main game. E.g. weekly powerplay missions could include combat training through it.
