@cmdr-jarenstad.bsky.social
Tricentennial explorer, bounty hunter and space trucker. Currently residing on my Victory class carrier Bernard Fokke, my pride and joy. (And it can be anywhere in the Milky Way.)
Tedious, but very scenic. I really hope to find these gnarly creepers out in the Black in the future!
And I'm back in the top 25%. Barely. So I guess I'm going out a few more times before this CG is over.

Another batch of samples harvested. Time to return to that orbital dugout.

THIS SHOULD BE ALLOWED! (I tried, at least.)

And then you're off to get a prosthetic thumb?
November 22, 2025 at 4:49 PM
Same here. And the sound design, all those creaking noises. 62 years old, still a masterpiece.
November 22, 2025 at 7:55 AM
That's enough for tonight. 44 more samples turned in, and I'm back in the top 50% at least.

I'll move to the most efficient loop of trees, I think. And it seems morning is here. I wonder if I'll catch on fire soon.

And if you wonder, the Sidey has a really small footprint.
November 21, 2025 at 6:42 PM
Goodness. The fact that some CMDRs get distracted and burst into flames in this system makes perfect sense when I see this.
November 21, 2025 at 6:38 PM
Well, you might not want to go there anyway. It'll be years before I go there again, that's for sure.
Btw, you know about the permit for Sol in ED, and how the Thargoids entered the system without one? Did that make them illegal aliens?

I *will* finish my first playthrough... Lost interest when I got into my first space battle early on in the game.

And it will save the AI-obsessed oligarchs from themselves, since they're utterly incapable of understanding that the workforce they aim to make redundant just so happens to be the consumers that generate the money that trickles up to them.

The groves after the maintenance. (Let's hope.)

That's why shouldn'nt mix performance enhancers with progenitor cells.
November 17, 2025 at 9:58 PM
OK, I'm wrong it seems. It's 119,037 CR per specimen. With the x8 multiplier for now.
Radicoida | Canonn Research Group
The Radicoida genus of flora, they are technically a type of woody plant with bioluminescence and deep roots, and currently can only be found within the HIP 87621 system.

Yeah, and this is one of them. Probably the only ship small enough to land in the middle of these groves.
And it's not bad performance-wise. Almost 40 ly jump range, decent handling in SCO, boosts to 745 m/s.
Unfortunately the fuel scoop is too small, and it melts when scooping. 😁

I did take a screenshot of the atmospheric composition of that planet. It's rather close to the one of Earth's atmosphere, and it might be changing.
November 16, 2025 at 6:12 PM
Honestly, I don't know. I got 25 million from the last visit, where I scanned the same shrooms over and over again. 8 specimen per recharge and 3 recharges, maybe?
I think we're getting 300k per sample, with an x 8 multiplier. (So there aren't much in the way of money.)
November 16, 2025 at 6:10 PM
Do you mean battery drainage? Around 4% each. (I have a suit that's identical to the reward.)
November 16, 2025 at 5:26 PM
"Just one more sample..."
Having my "ship" parked nearby is an advantage. But that'll do for tonight I think, time to turn some data in!
November 16, 2025 at 5:15 PM
Exobio made fun. But I'm starting to regret that camouflage paintjob I picked, because I'm actually finding it hard to spot the ship without the compass.
November 16, 2025 at 5:07 PM
On his way back, maybe?
