For modern art, Peggy Guggenheim’s museum. For mainly Renaissance art, literally every church is covered in paintings and statues (some by big name painters, like Titian). The San Marco basilica and the Santa Maria dei Frari charge peanuts to get in, but well worth it, others are free.
