Spent a few hours finishing up Strange Bedfellows this morning! Beautiful comic, a little bittersweet with extra sweet. Superpower fueled romance / grappling with adulthood story. Perfect to give my brain some refresh time.

The overarching theme of my @flamecon.bsky.social haul ended up being plant people. Shout outs to (left to right) Michael Shirey (I needed it), @domsdickey.bsky.social (Plant Girl Game seems SO RAD), @whatsmacksaid.bsky.social (that cover slaps), & @machiavelli33.bsky.social (his art is gripping)

The Unsinkable Ship of Fools is gorgeous, quality smut btw (no actual smut in the flagged image, but there is a lewd pun)

Not particularly far into either of these, but both scratch some specific itches:

Vajra Chandrasekera's The Saint of Bright Doors combines bizarre cult magic with modern tech / modernization

Saskia Nislow's Root Rot is a creeping nightmare using titles-as-names (e.g. the Liar, the Crybaby)

Clouds are clouding

Also if you've never rounded a corner on a mountain road and come face to blade with a massive windmill, I recommend it.

Slow weekend work shift means I spent today reading NAVIGATING WITH YOU. Very cute, stuffed with feelings, takes on some heavy material with compassion. Overall lovely use of an afternoon.
