I went with BWS this week! One of my favorite series to revisit. If only he could have completed it. Epic!

A swarthy barbarian, Axus the Great, armed with a short sword on his belt, a longsword on his back, a hefty shield, and a bloodied battleaxe stands amid the tall grasses and piked skulls, with a magnificent city in an architectural style similar to Russian Orthodox architecture, gilded by the sun, in the background, stars sprinkling the sky as day fades to night. Down the left quarter of the cover, on a purple background, the various titles of this anthology title are introduced, “Featuring: The Freebooters, Also: The Paradoxman, And: Young Gods.” Art by the amazing Barry Windsor-Smith.

What perfect album came out the year you turned 16?
Queensryche: Operation Mindcrime. A mass of people protesting spread across the album cover, with a large, screaming face of a nun above them all in the background. And in the middle, in black and yellow, is what appears to be a cross, with jagged lines connecting the horizontal pieces to an image of an x-rayed brain with the Queensryche symbol where the brain would be . . . maybe. Not sure, but I love this album.

I rotate a handful of comic posters through one corner of my room, most of them tall, but the Wonder Woman Through the Years one is horizontal & left too much empty space beneath it. I finally arrived at a solution.

I went with a little-known Caliber comic -- EXIT by Nabiel Kanan -- that just blew me away when I first saw part of it in NEGATIVE BURN. The cartooning is sublime. I wish Kanan had hit it big. He's great!
