Ironically, the reason we have menopause is that it was evolutionary advantageous in those historical times to have older people not reproducing 🤷♀️ they existed. And were post menopausal.

Thank you for writing this. While I'm a new mom, it deeply reasonates with me. Even if you are in a relationship it's not easy (very stable relationship since 21, child at 36 main reason: demands of 2 high profile careers, distance) And i am a physician-researcher in fertility, I should know better

For ex., the WHO says babies should be exclusively breastfed up to six months, but most countries do not offer 6 months of mat leave. And when it is possible there are few or no actions to be sure that colleagues are not left understaffed because of it
