I posted a comment thanking the creator for the recipe with a picture of my attempt and I did not expect it to get attention but apparently it is unusual for people to actually try the recipes posted on xhs LOL

Ok update, it’s amazing 🥰🥰🥰 surprisingly my favorite parts are the vegetables which just goes to show that if you do something more interesting with veggies than just boiling or steaming them they are way more palatable 😂

The recipe 🙏🏼 it’s still simmering so idk how it tastes yet but it smells heavenly. I also picked up strawberries bc I keep seeing people make their own strawberry milk on xhs and I’m inspired ❤️🍓

Recently read Sorcery & Small Magics and it's a pretty slow burn series starter but I absolutely loved it. I'm also feeling a real lack of wizard romances so I hope to see some of the recommendations others give you 👀

That's all I read this holiday, overall not so enthused with my reads but at least I'm getting through em. Up next for me is:
Undertaking of Hart & Mercy (Currently reading)
Butcher & Blackbird (book club's pick)
The Road of Bones
The Flower of Death
The Most Wonderful Crime of the Year
Rental House

When the Moon Hatched:
People said this was like Sanderson but it was more like SJM, but not as polished? Juvenile prose, really unlikeable/annoying main character, amnesia but done poorly, she's soooo broken 🙄, everyones referred to as male/female constantly, the worldbuilding was sick tho

Cruel Winter With You:
Honestly super forgettable, drops you right in the middle, the problems were lowkey kind of stupid, I can forgive a lot of this because it was a novella but Ali Hazelwood is best when she's given time to cook

Inheritance:
Super intriguing, always love the characters in Nora Roberts books, very charming, basically like reading a Hallmark movie, kind of dry on the prose side, some cringey internal monologues, insta-lusty romance but i can forgive it, i really wanna find out what happens next
