I like the characters and having just finished Act 1 I’m very invested in the story. But then I’ll have to navigate a platforming sequence or spend too long watching Lune’s fingers in the menu and remember that this is a real 7/10 ass game.

The game is mostly really good! I don’t really enjoy combat as a rule but it does a fantastic job of letting you feel really clever when you find a set of skills/pictos that that work together.

I should just mainline the story but that is not how I’ve ever played games. Instead every time I pick up the controller @gtelephant.bsky.social gets to hear about how much I hate the lack of a map.

I'm also learning about the "we promise we won't be as mad if you come clean" clause when it comes to penalties for not registering.

Harvest was my first thought. You’d also be expecting the aesthetic to match certain expectations but that’s true of Souls as well.
