Especially when we know that the struggles of Indigenous people and Black Americans are uniquely interconnected and there is heavy emphasis in both cultures on connection with ancestors and the spiritual.

So for Remmick to specifically seek them out just shows how badly he wants it for himself

Oh he’s definitely skilled at his tricks, esp considering he’s based off the Abhartach
I do think it’s something to be said that after all this time, the two places we have seen him go in the movie to regain his connection to his homeland and family is the Choctaw tribe and the Black juke joint

Like during this time in the film, Irish Americans were being assimilated into the western idea of “whiteness” for the first time in years. But Remmick is from Pre-Colonial Ireland and has never known himself to be in the position of the oppressor until NOW where he’s acting like culture vampire‼️

Omg Kennie, I highly recommend looking into the history of Ireland & the horrors the country endured under British Colonization. It really creates an understanding as to why Remmick is IRISH specifically & how it connects to the grand scheme of Black/African, Indigenous and Irish mythology
