Agree Richard.. UK is in a worse situation than Germany. In UK 2024 election 40% of the electorate could not,did not or WOULD NOT vote. Labour got barely 20% of vote. In Germany 83.5% turn out. Engagement & something to vote for & some form of PR is key.

It's an excuse to carry on bombing. They are shelling central Gaza heavily as we speak. Netanyahu doesn't want a ceasefire - he and his fascist cronies want the war to continue and Palestininans obliterated. Stop arming them and arrest the criminals is the only way.

All you say is correct ..there is so much more .. NHS privatisation, Refugees, Welfare, Gaza to name a few. It's shocking to those of us who had no illusions from the start. But do you imply there's hope for change? They may or may not win the next election. But something different is needed now.
