Next match, this time at home, is against another promotion chasing team Cambridge United and we record superb 2-0 win. Same team as last week with only Moss coming in at RB and Flitcroft in place of injured Priest as CM. Early days but I couldn't have wished for a better start. Onwards and upwards!

Also, even if I'm not looking to add before giving proper run to everyone, cursory glance at what's available turned out the opportunity I just couldn't miss. Young Fuller is not expected to feature immediately, but on £400 p/w and no bcrc in his contract it's a low risk move with plenty of upsides

We have no wingers or wingbacks so 41212 is most natural setup for the squad we have and it produced decent draw at promotion chasing Hartlepool to kick off my tenure

Naturally, first screen after accepting the job is news that our best striker will be out for a month so we're off to a promising start.
Otherwise, there are some decent players in the squad and standouts are Moss and Bennett who are both valued over £1m so even if they leave it won't be a disaster
