How much profit are their owners pocketing? I know all about the salary cap & luxury tax. The Dodgers have impressive scouting, an excellent farm system & provide a great stadium experience for fans. If the Dodgers lost, you'd be gloating that having a star-studded lineup didn't win.

The Dodgers invest their earnings back into the team they put on the field. Other owners don't. Other teams had Ohtani, Freeman, Betts, Snell, Glasnow, but wouldn't pay them. Those owners kept their profits. The Dodgers reinvest the profits they make from 4 million attendance back in the team.
