Erm this "Brit" was born in Singapore on a British base to parents in the British forces. Father English Welsh, and Scots heritage, mother of English Irish heritage so I am literally "British" and as such I can only apologise if I've offended anyone ......literally proving my point 🤭

I don't necessarily agree with the BBC issuing an apology but I'm pragmatic enough to realise that to maintain "cordial international relations" it may have seems prudent. Also TBH us Brits have a bit of knee jerk reaction to apologising even when it's not our fault 🤭

Agreed they didn't maintain their own (and expected) high standards regarding the editing but the meaning/intention of his words were accurate.

A very important point - I hope they stick to it, not only as a UK TV license payer but a someone with a brain and a conscience who can see Trump for exactly what he is.
