I think it's even worse because Obama was hope and hey maybe we can be better. And then Trump was rejected in 2020, only for it to be even worse now.

NFL+ is mobile only, you can't cast to tvs or mirror screens but it gets you out of market games and it's 6.99 a month. I used it several years ago, so my info might not be up to date.

If you look at percent achieved for the first level in Doom The Dark Ages it's at 68%. So a third of gamepass users boot up the game and then don't bother getting past the first level.
This is consistent across titles.

Announcing it a year out means it's going to heavily be a part of the marketing, so would've been hard to avoid forever.
