You know me all too well...

You think little of it as you set the drink on the countertop. No need to call her name, she's standing right there... and she didn't offer it. You didn't ask. She reaches past the drink and you feel her warm hand wrap around your wrist.

"Bunnies aren't born, pumpkin, they're /made/~"

"I suppose," You reply politely, giving a side-eye to how her fingers squeeze the bunny's diaper from over the baby carrier. She offers a grin, stepping closer to the counter.

"Do you want to know a bit of a secret?" She finally asks, sprouting her dazzling smile once more.

You're really trying to ask how long she's had him. "Oh, full grown. This is about as big as they get. Cute, right?" She replies, before rattling off her drink order. You quickly get to working. Pulling another shot will cut some of the smell, especially now that the woman lingers after paying.

You wouldn't have guessed 'he' initially, what with the long blonde ringlets cascading down 'his' back, the clear signs of 'his' dress peeking out from the sides of the chest-carrier. You set the iced latte on the counter and call out the name on the order.

"So... how old is he?"

"...He's quite used to it. Besides, my drink's going to be to-go. We've got some more shopping to do. Isn't that right, pumpkin?"

He. It takes a second of staring before you get back to what you were doing, mixing the shot with some milk and stirring it all together.

Not so subtle from you, but the woman doesn't take it personally. She chuckles, waves a hand dismissively, and pats the chest-carrier she's got over her shoulders a few more times, right on the occupant's rear.

"Oh, that's quite alright," She says, your polite smile wavering.

to give the bunny's caregiver a polite, welcoming grin. One of the downsides of being the only person working a shift: you've always got to be the smiling face.

"I'll be just a minute!" You say chipperly, pointing over to a nearby bathroom, "Changing table's right in there."
