I'm afraid next week's update has to be delayed! Mental health has admittedly been rough, and I have a lot of work to do. So what better time to post some extra info on Krystelle?

[The Baron regains his composure and fires one last ball of shadow at Krystelle] Baron: Your luck's run out! Krystelle: AAH! [Krystelle is knocked to the floor. The Baron approaches her] Baron: Tch. Such a missed opportunity. [Krystelle looks back up at him in fear as he raises his sceptre to strike over again] Baron: This truly breaks my heart, Krystelle- [Krystelle pulls out her gem pendant and shines a bright light from it. The Baron is temporarily blinded] Baron: AAAGH!!! [Having fallen backwards from shock and confusion, the Baron sits up again, rubbing his eyes] Baron: Gah... How... could you... [The Baron then sees that morning has now fully broken, and that Krystelle is gone.]

[Krystelle runs away from the Baron, but is soon cornered. A tall cliff blocks her path. She turns back to see the Baron behind her] Baron: No more cowardice! Let us settle this. [Krystelle is surprised for a second, but is soon prepared to battle. She leaps to fire a beam of light at the Baron.] [The Baron's dark magic absorbs her light. He fires the shadow ball back at her, knocking her back. Krystelle notices the sun rising higher] Krystelle (thought): The sun grows brighter, the shadow grows longer... [Krystelle turns back, and is surprised to see the Baron right beside her, his sceptre raised above his head to strike. She uses her power to give him an electric shock.] Baron: NGAAAH!! [The Baron reels from the surprise attack] Baron: Ngh... Not bad... But...

[She considers his words for a second] [Krystelle turns her back on the Baron, to his surprise] Krystelle: No, Baron, I shall not. Baron: What?! Krystelle: Your group has murdered hundreds. Ruined thousands of lives. I can't join in good conscience. [The Baron's eye twitches. He raises his branch and unleashes a purple ball of dark magic.] Baron: Then you might as well DIE! Krystelle: EEK! [Krystelle narrowly dodges it] [Krystelle begins to run in the other direction. The Baron gives chase, firing another dark magic blast, which Krystelle destroys with a beam of light from her sceptre.]

[Krystelle turns to see a middle aged white man with a blond ponytail standing before her. He wears a baggy jacket of purple and red over a white shirt and red trousers. He holds a crooked branch with the end vaguely in a heart shape. He is Baron Wellmore.] Baron: So we finally meet. Baron: I've heard much about you, Krystelle. You're talented, for certain. [He points his branch at her threateningly] Baron: However, I believe you've chosen the wrong side. [Krystelle is taken aback by this, and holds her sceptre close to her chest] Krystelle: I don't want to take any side. I don't want to fight. Why must your group hound me like this? Baron: Because you continue to get in our way, Krystelle. [The Baron looks away in disgust] Baron: You are a light mage, and your kind, while pretending to be good, is corrupt. Clearly they've tricked you also. [The Baron holds a pink eye shaped gem on his chest. His pupils begin to glow pink. His tone of voice seems to differ ominously. Krystelle is clearly concerned by this] Baron: Despite this... I see truly good things in you. You're powerful, and that's just what we need.

An Introduction.
