ah, so you just don't know, and what you know you just don't call slave labour. you do understand that materials for your phone are not sourced ethically, right? there is child, slave and child slave labour involved. also, working conditions on the factories assembling them are pretty gruesome
June 6, 2025 at 3:05 PM
you don't leverage slave labour? how so? you're posting this via some device after all, aren't you?
June 6, 2025 at 2:53 PM
and for the record, I'm saying it's some new thing, we have been doing that since forever, it's just the scale what changes
June 6, 2025 at 2:32 PM
yep, I was patronizing a bit, that was the intent. but what about you? are you okay with leveraging slave labour?
June 6, 2025 at 2:23 PM
yep, and that's really sad

who became rich, monstrously exploiting people, society and nature; can just bribe lawmakers to pass the laws that only expands this disparity. and then the society trying to cope with that creates a cult of money and consumption which further fuels this disparity and further enables the ultra rich
June 6, 2025 at 2:18 PM
I can see why you thought that I dismiss wealth as a negative. but this is far from the truth. I don't have problems with wealth. I think everybody should be wealthy and that's the point. it should be dispersed more equally, there shouldn't be the situation where some ultra rich asshole /1
June 6, 2025 at 2:18 PM
it is true, sweetheart. and thanks for asking, I do indeed have a problem with leveraging slave labour. but minimizing consumption aside, there's not much I can really do about that, we live in the society after all. and on another note, this guilt is so diluted that it becomes almost bearable
June 6, 2025 at 1:53 PM
well, that depends on how that happened that nobody ever got rich. but overall I think world would be simpler and more quiet without this catastrophic diparity.

do I believe we actually could build such a society? not really. but your question itself is an extremely hipothetical itself anyway

cheers, now I know what game is my favourite thanks to you

I know the "meritocracy" made some people believe that big money can be earned with hard honest work. but in reality if you have a lot of money that means that most likely either you or your ancestor stole it from someone that way or another. of course it's much more nuanced than that but char limit
June 6, 2025 at 6:24 AM
ah, yeah, because the rich are famous for paying taxes, right.
and how did that proverb go? "wealth and luxurious lifestyle are parents of invention"?
don't think so.

you mean John Clogg?
May 30, 2025 at 5:33 AM
fuck, it's the other way around :) well, then it's the same, except you write the stuff to be matched against regexes
May 19, 2025 at 9:17 AM
just don't try to match it every frame then? it could be a system when you prepare the "spell" (write the regex), and then you cast it (only then it is being matched to the expressions). you could also span evaluation across multiple frames and if even this isn't enough, limit the max target count

that's so nice to hear, welcome aboard!

she blatantly said she hated all of those filthy non-americans (but not her grandpa, he was a true American just didn't know it or some other fucking bullshit). that was equally funny, scary and insane
April 7, 2025 at 6:14 AM
yeah, they be wierd sometimes. a couple of years ago I had a very funny talk on x with a Katarzyna Brzyżyńska (or some other extremely Polish name), who was a third generation migrant from Poland... and hated migrants with her whole soul. and was very nationalistic as an american ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
