Heard an insane Pokémon take at Gamestop today.

A customer was claiming that there's no tiger Pokémon, and the cashier was saying Incineroar is a tiger. I added that he's based on Tiger Mask the wrestler. The customer said "Yeah, he's based on a wrestler, not a tiger."

Like... is he not both???

Holy shit the soundtrack????? I know everyone has given this game's OST its laurels, but like, this soundtrack is on the same level as Smash Bros. when it comes to insane remixes and original tracks that came out of nowhere and absolutely blew me away. (3/4)

The "intermission" tracks are also fun, dangit. I love a healthy dose of nonsense on the road in my Mario Kart games, and crashing headlong into an 18-wheeler as I attempt to zip past my friend is peak Mario Kart.

Video mostly unrelated, but check out this silly animation. (2/4)

17. Mario Kart World (2025)

This game is really damn good. People are mixed on the overworld aspects, but I really enjoy them. Being able to poke around a detailed environment like this with friends is such a nice experience. (1/4)

The feelings of love and hope that this game invokes is unmatched. It's inspiring, heartbreaking, devastating, hilarious, and genuine. Even as a fraction of a larger story, it's one of the best things that I've played this year. (6/6)

That said, this chapter's Dark World is probably the best the game has been up to this point. It's gorgeous to look at, the designs are absolutely inspired, and the music takes my fucking breath away. Dark Sanctuary and its variations continue to haunt my every waking moment. (5/6)

Chapter 4 was a non-stop barrage of emotions for me. From the music to the spritework to the jokes to the character moments to the MUSIC. OH MY GOD THE MUSIC. The Light World section is a glimpse into normalcy for Kris and Susie, and it means so much to me. (4/6)

Tenna is very funny. I think about "coming straight from YOUR house" damn near every day. Heck, it's not even just Tenna. Rouxls Kaard probably got the hardest laughs out of me.

But holy shit the ending of Chapter 3 knocked the fucking wind out of me. (3/6)

Chapter 3 is less focused than previous chapters. It has a lot of minigames, and the gameshow's structure makes backtracking harder. I had to replay a significant portion once or twice because I missed something. That said, the novelty of the presentation works for me, and I really enjoyed it. (2/6)

16. Deltarune Chapters 3+4 (2025)

One of the reasons I put off updating this thread is because I can't put into words what Deltarune means to me. It's such a touching story that manages to wrap itself in such a wonderful sense of humor and I can feel the heart put into every aspect. (1/6)

(the Walmart box also contains Bionicles)

Parents were cleaning up the storage room, and I was reminded of one of my favorite weird recycled boxes.

Between an alligator-skin bag of accordion music and a Walmart box is a box of BIONICLES that should have been refrigerated at 34° (use by 03/13/15).

Real tired of seeing Stoke Charizard. #TCGPocket

Despite all this, I keep coming back because the core gameplay is so satisfying. IOI cares enough about the game that they added a roguelike mode two years after release, and they're currently working on a whole-ass co-op mode. I'm sure I'll be returning for my next mission soon. (6/6)

I don't think I've ever encountered a more confusing purchasing model. This issue has been compounding since 2016, and even this guide (courtesy of Reddit user Trzebiat) is out of date because THEY KEEP ADDING STUFF. Just tell me how to buy Hitman 1-3, for God's sake! (5/6)

I love just messing around in the massive sandbox levels, completing all the goofy challenges, and stealing everything I can so I can attempt some stupid nonsense with a target. My favorite new map would probably be Dubai or Mendoza, depending on what mood I'm in. (3/6)

For positives, I love the story. I think it's a phenomenal conclusion to the trilogy that wraps up loose ends while being in line with the series' tone. I love how 47 and Diana's unique relationship drives the story, not to mention the presentation is vastly improved over 2's static cutscenes. (2/6)

15. Hitman III (2021)

I adore the World of Assassination trilogy, and Hitman III introduces so many quality of life features to the previous two entries that it retroactively makes them even better. It's a great way to wrap up the trilogy, but it does have a few problems I can't ignore. (1/6)

- put on longplay of the game as background noise
- scroll down to comments, read a comment with a familiar line
- search where I've heard it before, first likely candidate is Doctor Strange
- remember how good the scene is
- write a bunch about how good the scene is

Something I didn't appreciate until wrapping up the series is how fun of a villain V.V. Argost is. He can be properly scary, but he's wonderfully cheesy.

He's also voiced by Corey Burton (Count Dooku and Cad Bane from SW: Clone Wars, Ansem from Kingdom Hearts), and now I can't unhear that. (7/7)

Rather than just Bigfoot, they have the Hibagon and the Honey Island Swamp Monster. Their interpretation of the Owlman as a black silhouette is SO COOL. That said, there are some pretty big blind spots in terms of cryptids. I just wanted to see the Flatwoods monster is what I'm saying. (6/7)

I love how Fiskerton is always treated like a real member of the family. I like to pretend that I'm immune to marketable mascot-like characters in cartoons or games, but Fiskerton is one of the best. He's also voiced by Batman from The Brave and the Bold, which is hilarious to me. (3/7)

The Saturdays have a great dynamic that shows depth to their characters, and their conflicts are more believable than other kids' shows. I was especially a fan of how Doyle ducked in and out of the ensemble before Doc swallows his pride to ask him to join permanently. (2/7)

14. The Secret Saturdays, Season 1+2 (2008 cartoon)

If you liked Ben 10 growing up and you haven't watched this show yet, then you're missing out. Cryptid hunting around the world makes for a great action cartoon premise, but the core cast of characters is my favorite thing about the show.

Absolutely insane props have to be given to the Unleashed Recompiled team. Could not believe how smooth the setup process was. The Werehog Battle music toggle alone improves the experience significantly.
