I love this woodland sunflower that was here when I moved in. I am blessed to be surrounded by nature, which I have allowed to come back home on my 0.2 acres in suburban Atlanta. Take some time to savor the moment.

The phoebes discovered the cat kibble a few years ago and now here is one parent teaching the next generation. They also eat plenty of insects in my natural backyard. I love that birds can raise their young here!

My morning routine has always been reading with coffee - or listening to podcasts. But with the current stress level, definitely reading and definitely gardening! Shoutout to Doug Tallamy and also Timber Press which publishes nature books. Love both of them!

I’ve been savoring this for a long time. I don’t want it to end. It’s brought clarity about the poverty of our culture which is all about what I can take, rather than what is freely given and how I can live in reciprocity. Being a part of a network of giving is so much richer than hoarding wealth.
