All this talk of increasing spending on defence has made me wonder: what if, instead, every country set a goal to decrease defence spending to zero along with a promise not to wage war? I can dream.

I’ve been thinking lately that I should probably start wearing a mask in enclosed spaces again. Went to the optometrist and all the staff were wearing them so I put mine on. A good start.
