Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club: Final Chapter Part 2

This felt more dramatic than the first part, in a good way. Nana's worries about her future were the most interesting part for me, I wish we could've explored that more.

BanG Dream! It's MyGO Compilation Movie Pt 2: The Melodies Within & FILM LIVE

Like the first part, I think the events covered in this movie were much better presented in the TV anime. There are some directorial decisions that don't land for me. I really enjoyed the LIVE portion though.

Revenge isekai really isn't my thing, but some close friends have sworn by Sentenced to Be a Hero. First episode doesn't give me any reason to like it, but those friends of mine are persistent. May binge later if I feel like it.

Pretty apprehensive on Scum of the Brave and Tune In to the Midnight Heart. My first thoughts are that they're tropey and formulaic, but I don't want to drop them just yet.

Other notable standouts so far are Shiboyugi, You and I are Polar Opposites, and Tamon's B-side for excellent animation and/or direction.

BanG Dream! It's MyGO Compilation Movie Pt 1: Spring Sunshine, Lost Cat

Loved the new Raana scenes but I highly prefer experiencing the story through the episodic season. This movie feels a lot more in-your-face, maybe due to the pacing, maybe due to some scenes being rearranged.

We finally get to spend time with Kaho! Love her relationship with Renako. They bounce off each other so well. Definitely looking forward to more muriyuri, especially after THAT ending.

Milky Subway should be celebrated as a feat of indie anime. It looks great even compared to fully staffed productions. The sharp, fast-paced, overlapping dialogue is also a style more productions need to try.

Shoushimin is criminally overlooked. Some of the best written mysteries ranging from small-scale Hyouka-like shenanigans to actual crimes with lives at stake. All accompanied by incredibly creative cinematography.

A few other shows I want to highlight:

Ruri Rocks has my favorite depiction of the scientific process in any media ever. I have never seen a "non-educational" show portray characters learning through observation, experimentation, and documentation as realistically and positively as this show.

Kicking things off with Kaguya-sama: Love Is War -Stairway to Adulthood-

I liked the selective/abridged adaptation. I think it serves the anime better to skip a lot of the post-confession manga arcs. The production quality continues to be top-notch. Looking forward to the new anime-original movie!
