Snippet of a new fic by claremontdiazfox: The man stops in his tracks, grin frozen on his face. His eyes drift over Alex from top to toe; Alex stands up taller, throwing his shoulders back. He’s not going to let this entitled prick make him feel small. “What?” the man asks, still smiling. Alex stares back at him. “You’ve had your fun, my friend.” The man quirks a brow and starts walking towards Alex. “Do I know you?” Alex inhales. “Uh, I’m Alex —” he starts. “So, I don’t know you,” the man says. He stows his dagger in his belt and comes to a stop in front of Alex, looking at him curiously. “Yet you called me ‘friend’.” Alex breathes a self-effacing laugh. “That was my mistake.” “Yes, I think so,” the man agrees. “Yeah,” Alex says, nodding. “I’d never have a friend who could be such an ass.”
