do you remember Flair? Like corkboard buttons we filled with funny quips, fandom flair, and other signifiers!

it’s really just about the crushing weight of The System trying to silence and suffocate us. Imprison us so they can control us, dehumanize us to justify their greed and their inhumanity.

i know logically that if something like that were to happen, i wouldn’t be alone. In my dream i wasn’t, one of my childhood best friends was there with me. I also know my work wouldn’t end, i’d find purpose on the inside too, somehow.

my friends and i were joking yesterday, i said im ready to protest by not paying taxes. We laughed and said that 2025 is not the year to get arrested, not in the first year of this presidency at least, we need to be here now.

getting arrested has been my brain’s go to stress dream for several months now. but this was was certainly inspired by the onslaught of news regarding the ways the US wants to enslave people once again, via the carceral system.
