what is more work than building something you've only imagined or read about? what is better work than actually putting your hands in dirt and figuring out how that shit keeps us all alive?

and like - I see my friends that absolutely need to live alone for whatever reason, heard. they're honest about it. what I don't love is people idealizing building a commune and not actually consider what that would mean

living close to others means giving up some control, seeing things in yourself you might not love, confronting how you show up on the world and therefore how you impact those around you every day. talk about bursting a bubble

and there are a million valid reasons why people can't be their best selves and show up . but like... being real about the sacrifices we make when we give up individualism. that would be cool.

now I only have tiny memories about what was in those pages, but the feeling of discovering that person only through their art still sits with me

and I carried that book with me for a long time, studied the pages, thought a lot about the person who had made those pages come to life for me

and lots more cutting and folding of the million toilet paper rolls we've amassed

man I keep my expenses low but the starting a business, trying to finish a sleeve and working service all at the same time really has me just sliding by
