throughout the song it goes from "i'm saying this. i'm repeating this." to "yeah i guess, i mean why not?" to "it IS this way BECAUSE this"

even if it sounds more beaten down than the original "i'll fight a battle i cannot win" the singer is still saying she's going to fight.
