Telemundo reports that 3 Puerto Ricans including a toddler were detained by ICE-Gestapo in a Church and taken to a facility. They were released after showing IDs. Relatives say they were arrested for speaking spanish.

I’m not sure if everyone outside academia is aware that a delay or “pause” in grant funding often means the researchers themselves are lost from the field, along with their expertise.
