I'd love to write a lot more, but to cut my yapping short (cause I don't wanna bore you too much with details), Mushoku Tensei is less about accountability and repentance, and moreso about self-improvement, as I've mentioned, and its understandable if that puts you off.

Have a nice day

He just did it and ran away, no punishment or accountability. Instead, the story shows him trying to be a good person, a good husband (which he kind of fails at), a good father (which he also kind of fails at), and an overall good, uhhh, community member as he tries to save as many people as he can

Uhhh, I don't think I have to explain why Rudeus didn't groom Eris or Roxy?

Anyways, another one of your points was about accountability. Yes, you won't find much of that in this series, and if that puts you off, fair. For example, Rudy's dad was a rapist in his teen years, he never got punished

And another thing, Rudeus never groomed any of them. He did *plan* on grooming Sylphie (which is terrible) when they were really young, but Paul and Sylphie's dad realized that their relationship was unhealthy, with them being overdependent on one another, so Paul fixed things by sending Rudeus away

Eventually, though, Rudeus comes to terms with things and opens up to them about that fact, and they accept it as it is. They know that the man they love and married is Rudeus and not the man he was in his past life.

Sorry for responding so late, I barely ever check Bluesky, but anyway, to spoil the story a little, each of his three wives kind of figures it out, one way or another, that he's a reincarnation and that he's much older than he seems. They don't call him out on it because that didn't matter to them

I've read all the light novels to date (except the very latest one since there's no english translation) but Rudeus ends up being an incredibly respectable man after going through many years of life
June 26, 2025 at 1:17 PM
This isn't particularly limited to Rudeus, as there are other messed-up characters in the series who pretty much use a similar narrative formula where they, too, try to improve themselves, for one reason or another.
June 26, 2025 at 1:16 PM
It's more of a story of growth and self-improvement. There's never a moment along the lines of Rudy going "I am a morally bad person, I should make up for the bad things I've done", instead we get moments where Rudeus fucks up and he goes "Okay I fucked up, I have to do/be better next time"
June 26, 2025 at 1:13 PM
I mean, Mushoku Tensei isn't a show for everyone. Rudy was a very repulsive character as a child, so I understand being put off by him and the show. This isn't a redemption story, and if that's what you expect, you'll be quite disappointed
June 26, 2025 at 1:11 PM
I'd correct you on some of the things you've mentioned, but I don't think I'll be able to convince you anyways lmao

Just know that I'd personally say that it keeps getting better for the most part
June 26, 2025 at 7:04 AM
In Mushoku Tensei at least, Rudy's inner voice remains the same because of his self perception. Same reason why he looks like his previous self in the Man God's realm.

Subconsciously, he still thinks he's the same person as he was in his past life and that stays true for most of his life

Well the thing there is, Zanoba and Rudeus raise Julie as if she was an adopted child, not as a slave

Throughout the novels, they've never told her to make a lewd figure

Zanoba can get weird and sexual about figures, but he loves sfw figures all the same

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong

I'm afraid you're mistaken
June 6, 2025 at 1:35 PM
There was no mention of dick size whatsoever, you just pulled that out your ass 😭
June 6, 2025 at 1:34 PM
He had basically reverted to a child at that point, and was effectively a child, no longer an adult. Is it weird? Maybe, but that's just how it is.

Also a 15 year old cannot prey on a 13 year old, there's barely any age difference there.

And no, her letter just said that they were "incompatible"
June 6, 2025 at 1:33 PM
Ok first of all, the first season does not conclude with "time travel shenanigans" or "child rape". I don't even know where you got the time travel idea from

As for the sexual encounter, that wasn't rape, they were both kids, kids who shouldn't be doing that, but it happened

I can assure you it isn't a bad Isekai, a lot of people just say it is

I can't tell if you hate Mushoku Tensei or if you're afraid of getting spoiled for Mushoku Tensei

Yo do you have a Twitter?
