And with the newly improved Datasets webpage (lnkd.in/gBTh4yeY), it is easier to find the data you want to use and start your project with links to the get-started Jupyter notebooks that walk you through how to use CloudDrift!

Both data sets provide Lagrangian data that allows us to track previous hurricanes and analyze properties of these hurricanes. With just a few lines of Python code, we can download the data and start analyzing these data.

CloudDrift has access to two such datasets:

- HURDAT2: The HURricane DATa 2nd generation
- IBTrACS: The International Best Track Archive for Climate Stewardship

New Get-Started Notebooks:
Our approach to jumpstart usage is to provide get-started Jupyter notebooks that walk through different datasets and functionality of Clouddrift. We added two new get-started notebooks two datasets:
- IBTrACS (lnkd.in/gcCtVeB3)
- GLAD (lnkd.in/g_6RDHpZ)

A New Dataset Adapter:
Clouddrift uses adapters to access its datasets, making it easy to get the data you want. We added a new adapter that gives Clouddrift access to the IBTrACS dataset, which is a collection of global tropical cyclone data.
