Both Shane and I develop the worldbuilding together, and discuss most mechanics, flavor, etc, but they are the one with a rpg/GM background and knowledge (+are a sweet writer).

Mine is the role of the visual, and I hope the finished guide is dope as fuck (here sketches from the playtest sessions!).

We did publish a Quickstart Guide on itchio, for FREE months ago (gutter-press.itch.io/gutter-plane...).

The game *HAS EVOLVED A LOT* since then, so this PDF is technically useless, BUT useful to get a taste of what the FULL GAME will be like!

Being creative again and keeping Cloud Curio going is incredibly important to Amber. Kyle was a huge part of the founding of Cloud Curio and one of Amber's favorite people to creatively jam with. Whatever ideas for CC that comes out of this potential retreat, we'll share with backers first. :D

We'll record it of course and backers will get to see it first. Pie aside, what's actually happening is a chance to meet with Kyle in person to consult and conspire. Reaching 10K allows Cloud Curio to go on a creative retreat to get our creative juices flowing again!

Fun side note: Throughout the development of MONSTROUS, we would coin MONSTROUS phrases that apply to real world behaviors. For instance, my insatiable urge to document is Bug Behavior b/c "Bugs work compulsively. Nothing matters more to them than the completion of what they call the 'Great Work'" 🤪
