34 minutes in, 50 minutes to go, and still no Krampus?

Beer advent calendar day 3. I’m not much of a “grapefruit in beer” kinda guy, but I drank it. I’m sure the radler fans would love this though.

“Better Watch Out.” I went in cold, thinking “Home Alone with a babysitter,” which was right, until abut 30 minutes in. Not what I expected, and this was a good thing. Best to go in cold though, no trailers, read nothing.

This was the “Day 2” beer from the advent calendar. This one, I would go out of my way to drink again. It tasted like flowers and mango, which sounds really weird, but it was soooo good.

It’s craft beer advent calendar time. December 1st was this tasty IPA.

I’d never watched Black Christmas previously, but it was always on my radar, and would have watched it sooner had I realized it was full of Canadian goodness, including SCTV’s Andrea Martin. A pre Halloween (proto) slasher that’s well worth watching.

I’d never watched Nosferatu The Vampyre, so decided to change that. I’ve gotta say, these versions of Renfield and Count Dracula are the most creepiest renditions I’ve ever seen. Why you gonna let a pointy eared, pale man suck your fingers like that Harker? #horror #ew #dracula

When Evil Lurks. Very gruesome #horror and pretty intense. Probably not for everyone but if you can get past people making every bad decision possible in a horror movie, you’ll probably eat this up.

Beautiful sunset this evening, a little chilly, but the dog needed walking.

Last night we made it about halfway through @sentinelhillpress.bsky.social’s “The Dare,” an excellent #cthulhu Halloween scenario. Looking forward to finishing this up. If you’re looking for a fun 80s “kids on bikes” type scenario, this is it.

Two episodes into @flanaganfilm.bsky.social’s #houseofusher and I wish I had time to binge the whole show. So good! #horror

Finally got my hands on the special edition cover of The Shattered Obelisk. Looking forward to adding some slimy goodness to our #dnd table. #ttrpg

Most of the posters and taglines for #horror movie The Triangle made it seem like it was going to be a slasher, which it totally isn’t. I love slashers but this movie is something different in a great way.

Thoroughly enjoyed Sharksploitation, a great history of shark #horror and real world panic caused by Jaws and the like. And it’s always great to get commentary from Rebekah McKendry.

I can’t possibly do 31 days of #horror but will do my best to sprinkle an above average viewing this month. I dug way back to the 1st Saw movie earlier this week, which I haven’t seen since it 1st came out. I had forgotten most of it but the ending. It was even better than I remembered!

Watched #horror film Pontypool yesterday to get a different take on the zombie formula. There’s an ill-fitting exposition dump by a tonally ill-fitting character, but it was an otherwise enjoyable bottle movie with a good cast and it did reach for uniqueness with its spin on language as a virus.

A few shots from our last “Bad Humanoids #dnd session. I’m a PC in this one, not running the game. We play a mixed bad of humanoid scum trying to make our way in the world of Greyhawk, sandwiched between the evils of the Pomarj and the expanding human population. #ttrpg

Finally got around to watching Mike Flanagan’s Oculus on Tubi. Not sure why I waited 10 years, what a great movie! #horror

Nice, my Vaesen pre-order showed up today. So looking forward to diving into this. I’ve only opened it up to get inhale that “fresh book smell” but the art as always is amazing. #ttrpg #vaesen

There were “spiders”, oh so many.

Our One Ring game is finally back in action after several months. It was great to get back to the table with everyone and dive deep into Mirkwood. #ttrpg #rpg
