Bitter Twitter Expatriate talking about video games and sometimes pro wrestling. He/him. ✝️
What an unexpected gem. #NeonWhite is easily one of the best platformers I've played. Its like the meticulous level design of Portal w/ the edgelord vibes of Shadow the Hedgehog.

Just high octane parkour action, a solid story & fun social mechanics tied to collectibles tossed in for good measure.

There are indeed major pourover vibes in Persona 5. ☕️

I enjoy the Awards and the Reveals. I feel like I'm one of the few people who do lol.

I don't always agree with the choices, and unfortunately there's corporate stank in everything I can't unsee.

But I try to find the fun in some of it (like TGA) to keep myself somewhat sane lol.

The characters are super endearing & once you get into the thick of it the story tropes start getting ironed out to be more nuanced.

This is just my second "big boy" anime, but I've been enjoying it, I don't think it'll be my last. I think I'm gonna bounce between anime and live action shows.

Ok bonus part 3...realistically our renewable energy is just not ready for it, & I don't trust our government to ever put the proper safeguards in place. I in fact expect them to disregard copyright protection & actively encourage propaganda. Even if they do make improvements in renewable energy.

Especially for jobs where you're not given the time you need during work (like teaching)

Even then, when I do fold, I'm just using it to brainstorm & proofreading it. There are teachers making ai gen'd lessons for students to give ai gen'd answers & its like what are we even doing here? (2 of 2)

I will admit to using it more than I should. I've been trying to stop entirely since I learned just how far reaching the energy consumption & expansion of data centers were. (With displacement etcetera) But it is a very useful and convenient tool when used with discretion. (1 of 2)

I keep seeing these posts about how the AI bubble is going to burst. And I'm sure for some companies it will. Like many iPhone/Android alternatives didnt make it.

But in general? All of them? Have you stepped inside a place of employment?

Good point!

What scenario do you think they could've leveraged though to get a better deal? I'd be curious to hear.
November 10, 2025 at 1:31 PM
Worth mentioning: I misunderstood/oversimplified the filibuster. So I still don't think there's a scenario where they got a better deal without the majority. But my new opinion is they shouldn't have put their name on it and forced the Republicans to break their filibuster if they wanted to pass it.
November 10, 2025 at 1:31 PM
I just wonder if there's any circumstance where they got Republicans to vote on a better deal, even if they resorted to dirty tactics, which I'm totally cool with given the circumstances. (while completely acknowledging they probably would have folded even if they had the majority)

This truly felt like a hostage negotiation where you were also outnumbered.

Its fair to say Dems are also highly ineffective when they're in the driver's seat. But this was not that.
