Are mullets back in? There's a curious amount of students sporting very fetching mullets (of the 'business up front, party behind' variety, not the fish of the same name) this semester.

Well, we (and our house) got through the 90-100mph winds of storm Eowyn unscathed. There are trees down everywhere and people without power, and only one death confirmed so far, though.

Everyone in Central Scotland just collectively shat themselves. Myself included. We've had red weather warning for 125mph winds and they just put a warning out on our phones. Yikes.

A lot of people hate January, but I kinda like it. The nights are getting shorter, spring is getting closer and in March, I'll be one year away from paying off my mahoosive loan and one year closer to getting a new car.

I just finished William Gibson's 'Neuromancer' for the first time (I know, I know, late to that party) and am blown away by just how many of his concepts and ideas still filter through to sci-fi years later. It's a bona fide classic.

I think it's time for a gaming laptop upgrade this generation. I'm thinking of one with one of the new AMD Zen 5 Ryzen CPUs and an RTX 5070Ti... Currently bracing myself for the inevitable eye-watering prices.
